Electronics Recycling Event- An electronics collection event will be held on Sat., October 9th, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Main Yard Waste site located at Fish Hatchery Rd and Oxford Dr. People dropping off items will be charged $2 per item or per computer component, with the exception of monitors & copiers ($5 each) and TVs ($20 each). Payments will be accepted in cash only. No checks or credit or debit cards will be accepted. The city will accept unwanted computers, keyboards, monitors, electronics, printers, copiers, servers, scanners, plotters, laptops, telecom, televisions and audio/video equipment to the site for recycling. No batteries or fluorescent bulbs will be accepted.

Taking recyclable appliances and cans and bottles from the curb is theft and reduces Allentown's recycling revenues and increases your trash fees. Please report appliance and recycling theft to us, 610-437-8729 with a description (License Plate#, date, time, location). Thank you.

Street Cleaning - Please move your vehicle in the posted area on the date and time of the street sign so street cleaning can take place. Avoid a Street Cleaning parking ticket.
If you have any questions regarding a street cleaning ticket, contact the Allentown Parking Authority at 610-437-3366. Any other Street concerns, call 610-437-7638.
Now ALL marked #1 through #7 plastic bottles and containers can be recycled in the green bin! Examples include milk, soda, laundry, yogurt, margarine, cups, etc.
