Application for City Curbside Collection

Allentown businesses and non-profit organizations that generate small quantities of trash and recyclables are eligible for City curbside trash & recycling collection. The annual fee of $223 includes:

  • Twice a week collection of trash, up to ten 30 gallon bags per week, and
  • Once a week curbside recycling collection of bottles and cans, newspapers and mixed office paper.

Corrugated cardboard must be recycled separately from City Collection. You can take it to the Allentown Recycling Drop Off Center at Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and 15th Street (open Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) or contract for collection.

Participation in this program is optional. However, if you are not in City collection you must contract with a licensed trash and recycling hauler and comply with the City's mandatory recycling requirements. Anyone using City curbside collection is liable for payment for the service.

You can begin service any time with 30 days notice to the City. The annual service fee is billed February 1 payable to the City April 1. Payments for less than a year's service are prorated, however, service for less than a month is billed for the whole month. Do not send payment now. You will receive a bill from the City.
