Application for City Curbside Collection

Allentown businesses and non-profit organizations that generate small quantities of trash and recyclables are eligible for City curbside trash & recycling collection. The annual fee of $340 includes:

  • Twice a week collection of trash, up to ten 40 gallon bags per week, and
  • Once a week curbside recycling collection of bottles, cans, cardboard, paperboard, mixed office paper, #1 through #7 plastic bottles & containers.

Corrugated cardboard may also be taken to the Allentown Recycling Drop Off Center located at Martin Luther King Jr Drive and 15th Street (open 24/7).

Participation in this program is optional. However, if you are not in City collection you must contract with a licensed trash and recycling hauler and comply with the City's mandatory recycling requirements. Anyone using City curbside collection is liable for payment for the service.

The City provides recycling bins to establishments in City Collection.
Blue bins are for mixed office paper, cardboard, paperboard (cereal and food boxes, tissue and shoe boxes), newspapers, phonebooks, magazines, catalogs, mail, hard & soft covered books. and are available in three sizes. Indicate the number of bins and size appropriate for one week's generation of your paper (excluding cardboard and newspapers). (For comparison, a typical trash can is 30 gallons.)

Aluminum cans, tin cans, glass bottles and jars and #1 through #7 plastic bottles
(milk, soda, laundry, yogurt, margarine, cups, etc.) are collected in green bins. Indicate the number of bins
and size appropriate for one week's generation of your cans and bottles

We will call to arrange for delivery of containers. Instructions of specifics of proper
recycling procedures will be supplied for each employee.
