City of Allentown employees also work year round to clean up litter. The Bureau of Recycling and Solid Waste cleans litter and trash from sidewalks and empties litter baskets. The Bureau of Streets sweeps streets and collects leaves. The Bureau of Parks keeps City parks and many other areas clean. Other City Bureaus such as Health and Code Enforcement also contribute to cleaning up littered properties and enforce related ordinances. Lehigh County Juvenile Probation and Allentown Police Department community service crews provide year round litter cleanup.
